Fonda's Fabulous Funday Finds #4

On the way to Southport, there was a place called Swayne's. It was part antique store and part crafty needs. The husband ran the former, and the wife, the latter. We had never been in the store before. Once we entered, the elderly man said everything was half off. As we were perusing, someone came in who the man knew. It was during their conversation that we learned that the wife had recently died and he was closing the store. Here are the goodies we found on the crafty side:

Velcro, animal and cat eyes, and crimps
We look out for crafty items we can use. The Velcro will sit for a little while until we find a project for it. Katie makes bears and other animals, some out of mohair and others out of fabric, so the eyes will be useful. We both like to make jewelry-like items, and the crimps will come in handy.

And, here are the vintage/antiques:
Medium white and green enamel pan
The camera is gorgeous. There appears to be no tears in the accordion thing-y. I have no idea what that part is called, but it seems to be intact. When I go to the big city, I'll have to go to an actual camera store to understand how it works. If it does seem to work, maybe I'll get some actual film to try.

I've seen so many blogs where cameras are displayed that I thought I'd add to what I already have - a Kodak Brownie with flash holder. (I'll have to find that and have another look at it.) I've since decided that I don't want to dust it, so it's in the case. I'll decide again later if I find that it doesn't work.

The camera cost me $17.50. I was still hesitant to purchase it since I don't know much about cameras. I know it looks pretty, but does it work. And, do I want to pay that much for a camera that sits around and looks pretty? I guess at this point I do, but I still hope it works, and I can try it out with film.

The white and green enamel pan is different from others I've seen. I think white and blue might be the most common with white and red following. I think this is the first one I've seen that is white and green. It's in nice shape, too.

Then, there's always a stack of books:

Books

These books belong to Katie.
