Still not up to it...

I'm still experiencing muscle spasms in my shoulder/neck/back areas, so I'm still not creating anything. I want to so badly, but my body says no! I start physical therapy on March 3rd. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get some relief.

Katie is doing great, as far as her hip goes, but now she has developed what might be a stress migraine headache. Her head has been hurting her for a day and a half now...just pounding. Caffeine and acetaminophen has helped a little, but not much. She's never experienced a headache like this, so we hope this is a one-time headache of this magnitude.

We are certainly suffering here. We could use a little positive energy. Keep us in your thoughts.

Pattern with Key

This is a mini slim line card measuring 3 1/2" by 6". I began by stamping the image (Stampers Anonymous) using Versafine Onyx on white card stock. Then, I mounted that onto black card stock and onto purple card stock using double-sided tape. Next, I glued a tiny brass key to the white panel.

Update on Katie...

The doctor sent Katie home after the surgery, so she's home with me. We're tired, and we're going to bed early.

I'm absent again...

Well...my right shoulder blade and neck are still giving me grief. It isn't as bad as it was, but it's still there and bothers me. It's still a stabbing pain that catches when I least expect it.

On top of this, my wife, Katie, is going back into the hospital for yet another debridement of her hip wound. To refresh, on 12/21/20, she had a hip replacement which went well. On 1/25/21, she developed an infection and she went back into the hospital for debridement and placement of antibiotic "seeds" along with IV antibiotics for a couple of weeks. Tomorrow, 2/11/21, she will go in again to have the antibiotic "seeds" removed along with another debridement. She should be in the hospital just overnight for this one. Each surgery has been less and less invasive. Hopefully, this will be the last surgery for this problem.

So, along with my condition, I will be tending to Katie's condition. I'll spend the day with Katie in the hospital tomorrow and hopefully pick her up on Friday to come home.

Wish us luck, and send some positive energy our way. I hope to be back creating again soon.

XOXOXO

This tiny card measures approximately 3" by 3 1/2". I began by stamping the "XO" background (Stampin' Up!) on light pink card stock using Colorbox Chalk in warm red. Then, I stamped the large "XOXOXO" (Stamp Craft) across the front using Versafine Onyx. I adhered the pink panel to the red card base with double-sided tape.

Happy Valentine's Day

This small card measures 4" square. I began by stamping the banner at the top with Colorbox Chalk in warm red on a light pink card stock. Then, I stamped the flamingos. Next, I stamped the sentiment on red card stock using Versafine Onyx, which I glued to the pink panel. Finally, I adhered the pink panel to the red card base using double-sided tape. All stamps are Stampin' Up!.

Be Mine

This little card measures approximately 3 3/4" by 4 1/4". I first stamped the "XO" background (Stampin' Up!) on light pink card stock with Colorbox Chalk ink and cut it out using a heart die. Then, I stamped the banner (also Stampin' Up!) on red card stock using Versafine Onyx. Next, I stamped the sentiment (Stampin' Up!) across the banner. I glued that to the heart shape. After that, I adhered the heart and banner to the black card blank lifting it up with double-sided foam tape. Finally, I stamped the sentiment (also Stampin' Up!) across the bottom of the card.

P.S. My shoulders, neck and back are still giving me some grief, but I was gentle with myself and made 3 Valentine's Day cards. I will try again tomorrow, too.

Why I'm absent now...

What started as an occasional stiff neck when my mom was diagnosed with Covid-19 in the middle part of December turned into a pinched nerve or something like that earlier this month, around when my mother died. I get this stabbing pain in my shoulder blade, back and neck on my left side. Of course, this has led to me being unable to keep up with my art challenges. So, I'm taking my medications according to the directions, and they don't seem to be helping. I guess I need to learn how to relax a little more...and use the heating pad!

I hope to be back to creating again real soon. I miss it.
