Thankful Thoughts

I started this A2-sized card by stamping the strip of autumn icons (Stampin' Up!) on a manila-colored scrap, and I colored them using my Prismacolor colored pencils. When done, I adhered them to a scrap of green card stock and adhered that to the manila-colored card base. Then, I stamped the sentiment (also Stampin' Up!) using Vivid ink.

Grateful For You 1

This is a one-layer, A2-sized card. I started by stamping the pumpkins (PSX) using Vivid brown to give it an old-fashioned look. Then, I colored them with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The last thing I did was stamp the sentiments, "grateful" (Altenew) and "for you" (Stampin' Up!) also using Vivid brown.

Tea for One

 I started this A2-sized card by stamping the tea cup (Darkroom Door) on a manila-colored card stock using Distress ink in Vintage Photo. I colored it using my Prismacolor colored pencils. Then, I cut it out by hand, using scissors and a craft knife. After that, I die cut the green panel. Next, I cut the card base. Finally, I layered all of the elements.

I started this one-layer, A2-sized card by stamping the wreath (PSX) and coloring in the berries with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Then, I stamped the sentiment (Altenew) using Vivid Taupe.

Birthday Wishes

I'm using scraps, so this card doesn't quite measure A2, but it's 5" by 4 1/4". I started this card by stamping the image (Northwoods Rubber Stamps) and coloring with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Then, I cut out the image, which has two borders. After that, I used a scrap of black to frame the image. Finally, I put the card into my MISTI and lined up the sentiment (Stampin' Up!) and stamped it with Versafine Onyx ink.

Challenge#133 Hello Autumn  

When Was the Last Time...?

I started with an A2-sized card base of scrapbook paper. I stamped the sentiment (Impression Obsession) on yellow card stock. I stamped the bee (?) using Versafine Onyx on a scrap piece of what I used for the card base and colored it in using my Prismacolor colored pencils. I highlighted the wings with a silvery glitter pen and used a circle punch to cut it out. I cut a piece of black card stock about 3/4" by 4 1/2" and, using double-sided tape, adhered it to the card base. Then, I used double-side foam tape to adhere the sentiment and the bee to the card base.

Moth in the Moonlight

This is a cream-colored, A2-sized card. I put the stamp on my MISTI to make sure the image is good and dark and centered on the card base. I used a freshly re-inked Versafine Onyx ink pad. I passed it on my MISTI four times. Once the ink was dry, I used my Prismacolor colored pencils to color the moth brown and the moon yellow.

Nature Photos

This is an A2-sized card, and the card base is black. I started this card by stamping the photo clip (?). Then, I stamped the bees (?), the lady bug (Anita's) and the butterfly (Embossing Arts) and colored them in using my Prismacolor pencils. Next, I added the camera scrapbooking paper to the card base. It measures 4" by 5 1/4". Finally, I placed the photo clip at a pleasing angle and adhered it with double-sided tape.

October 2020 Challenge: Anything Goes w/Optional Twist: Winged Things 

Asian Tag

This is a tag that I made especially for a challenge (see below). The tag itself measures about 3 1/8" by 6 1/4". I started by stamping the image of a woman (Stampington & Co.) on a leaf of paper from an Asian novel. I stamped the image using Versafine Onyx. Then, I glued it to the tag. I glued postage stamps from Japan to the bottom of the tag. When the tag was dry, I colored in some of the elements with my Prismacolor pencils. Next, I cut several lengths of various yarns to slip through the hole at the top of the tag and pulled them through. I continued with the postage theme by gluing postage stamps to three strands of yarn. There is a different image on the back of the two larger stamps.

ANYTHING BUT A CARD 

Fall is in the Air

 

I started this A2-sized card with a cream-colored base. I added some diagonal gingham plaid text-weight scrapbook paper. I ran some black card stock through my paper crimper and adhered that with double-sided tape. I stamped the pumpkin (Hero Arts) on a green-textured card stock with Versafine Onyx ink, colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and cut it out by hand. I stamped the sentiment (Northwoods Rubber) on a scrap of cream-colored card stock and cut it out with a circle die. I glued it next to the pumpkin.

Ch#93 Autumn Colours 

"L" is For Lucky Ladybug

 It isn't very often I stamp three items about the same amount apart and have them look even, but that's what happened here. So, I ran with it and made this card.

I started this slimline card with stamping the ladybugs (Anita's) and the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous). I chose this plaid patterned for the next layer down and green for the card base. I used double-side tape to adhere the plaid panel to the card base. Finally, I colored the middle ladybug's wings with a red Prismacolor pencil.

Fly

First, I stamped the fly/bird image (Hampton Art) with a Versafine Onyx ink pad on a panel of white card stock. I colored it with a light blue and a light purple using my Prismacolor colored pencils. Then, I adhered it to the light blue card stock. Next, I adhered two real feathers using large glue dots to hold them in place. After that, I made a bow and tied it to the length of light purple seam binding.

This is a fairly simple top-folding, A2-sized card to make.

I started by stamping the sunflower (Hero Arts) in the center of the panel using Versafine Onyx. Then, I stamped the three bees (unknown maker) in opposite corners. After that, I colored in the images using my Prismacolor pencils. Next, I pulled out my MISTI and a strip of white card stock, and I lined up the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous) and stamped it. I mounted it on a scrap of black card stock and adhered it on the panel above the sunflower. Finally, I adhered the panel to the yellow card base using double-sided tape.

Lucky Ladybug

 

 

This top-folding, A2-sized card was fairly easy to make. Just stamp and color!

 

First, I stamped the sunflower (Hero Arts), then I stamped the ladybug (Anita's). I put the card into my small MISTI and lined up the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous). I inked it using my Versafine Onyx ink pad and stamped it. After that, I colored in the images using my Prismacolor pencils. Finally, I adhered that panel to a red card base.

Teenie Weenies

When I saw this stamp and die package, I knew I needed it for my brother- and sister-in-law. They own two Dachshunds.

The stamps, dies and instructions for making this card are included in the package. I followed the directions being careful to place the stamps and dies as indicated. I stamped the dogs using a Versafine Onyx ink pad, and I colored the dogs using my Prismacolor pencils.

Personally, I'm a cat lover, and I would love to see a cat winding its way around a leg!

Forget-Me-Not Birthday

I used my small MISTI to get the flowers balanced and the sentiment centered.

I made the flowers into Forget-me-nots by coloring them blue with yellow centers. I used Versafine Onyx to stamp and my Prismacolor Colored pencils to color in the details. The Stampin' Up! stamp set is called Birthday Blossoms.

I started with the card blank measuring 6 1/4" by 4 3/8". I blended some Distress Ink blues in the upper center and stamped the octopus (Stampabilities) using Vivid Ink Taupe. I colored in the octopus using a gray Prismacolor colored pencil. 

I stamped the sentiment (River City Rubber Works) in Versafine Onyx using yellow card stock. After adhering that, I stamped the fish (Fred Mullett) across the page using colorful Vivid Inks.

H is For Hungry, 3

The Alphabet Challenge Blog is having a challenge to create a card where I have to show my favorite food. Well, I have lots of favorites, so this is the third card I've made for the challenge. Strawberries!

I stamped the strawberries, by Anita's, three times on some scrap white cardstock. I colored each one using my Prismacolor colored pencils and fussy cut them out. I mounted them on a white A2-sized card blank using double-sided tape. There's room for a sentiment if I need a card for a certain event.

I have stamped and colored another entry for The Alphabet Challenge Blog's H is for Hungry. This time it is a pumpkin for pumpkin pie.

I stamped the image, by PSX, and colored it in with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The card blank is A2-sized.

The alphabet challenge is H is for Hungry, and I am to show my favorite food. I have plenty of favorites, so this one is for green pepper for my pizza.

This is a one layer A-2 card. I stamped the pepper and masked it off to stamp the pepper ring to make it look like it was leaning up behind the pepper. Both stamps were made by Mostly Animals. Then, I colored it using Prismacolor colored pencils.
