The Ocean in Hexies

I started this A2 card by sending the ice blue shimmery card stock through my Big Kick using an embossing folder. Then, I set it aside.

I punched out three hexagons. I stamped one with coral, another with a fish and the third with seaweed and bubbles. The stamps were by Mostly Animals, Fred Mullet and Lesia Zgharda Design. I used Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral and Mowed Lawn and Vivid Ink in Turquoise. I used double-sided foam tape to adhere the middle hexagon and glue for the other two.

Best Fishes, Too!

This card is similar to the other one I made today, but it's different enough!

This is a one-layer, 6 1/4" by 4 3/8" card.

I started by blending a few Distress Ink blues into a rough circle. Then, I stamped the Fan Coral (Mostly Animals) with Distress Ink Abandoned Coral. On top of that and to the left, I stamped the sentiment (River City Rubber Works). Finally, using Vivid Inks, I stamped the fish (Fred Mullett).

Best Fishes!

I started with the card blank measuring 6 1/4" by 4 3/8". I blended some Distress Ink blues in the upper center and stamped the octopus (Stampabilities) using Vivid Ink Taupe. I colored in the octopus using a gray Prismacolor colored pencil.

I stamped the sentiment (River City Rubber Works) in Versafine Onyx using yellow card stock. After adhering that, I stamped the fish (Fred Mullett) across the page using colorful Vivid Inks.

Ocean Life

I made another ocean life card. This time I went vertical and was able to use the seahorse, which is a favorite of mine.

I started with a white Bristol paper panel that was 3 1/4" by 8 1/4". I cut a speckled brown paper and tore the edges on two sheets, then glued them to the bottom to resemble sand in the ocean and on the beach. I used various colors of paper and Vivid Inks to stamp the sea shells. I cut those out and arranged them in the "sand".

I stamped the seahorse in Vivid Ink to the right of center and colored the sea grasses with a green colored pencil. Then, I stamped the coral using Distress Ink. I stamped the colorful fish using Vivid Inks. Finally, I used Speckled Egg Distress Ink and a make-up brush to spread a little light blue between the elements. I mounted it on a slim line piece of cardstock the same color as the "sand".

I used stamps from these manufacturers: Mostly Animals, Fred Mullett, Pigs & Poets, Impression Obsession and some of the shells are unknown.
