Someday

I began this A2-sized card by stamping the focal image (Stampington & Company) in Versafine Onyx on mixed media paper. Then, I stamped the squares and circles (Hero Arts) and the word Someday (Uptown Design Co.) using Distress Oxide inks. After that, I adhered the white panel to the magenta panel and then to the black panel using double-side tape. I adhered all of that to a white card base.

To begin this tag, I die cut the green base, the child's face and the wings. I punched out the scalloped circle from a green that was a shade or two darker than the background. Then, I stamped the music background (Stampington & Co.) with Versafine Onyx. Next, I assembled the elements and used glue to adhere them. Finally, I punched holes and filled them with eyelets and threaded a length of small tinsel through them as a hanger for the tag.

Dare to Dream

I started this A2-sized card by creating the off-white panel. I matted it with black, creating a thin border. Then, I stamped the dragonflies (Stampabilities) with Versafine Onyx. I adhered that to the card base with double-sided tape. Next, I created the sentiment (Stampington & Co.) by stamping it with Versafine Onyx on a yellow gingham check paper. I adhered that to the card with double-sided foam tape.

Asian Tag

This is a tag that I made especially for a challenge (see below). The tag itself measures about 3 1/8" by 6 1/4". I started by stamping the image of a woman (Stampington & Co.) on a leaf of paper from an Asian novel. I stamped the image using Versafine Onyx. Then, I glued it to the tag. I glued postage stamps from Japan to the bottom of the tag. When the tag was dry, I colored in some of the elements with my Prismacolor pencils. Next, I cut several lengths of various yarns to slip through the hole at the top of the tag and pulled them through. I continued with the postage theme by gluing postage stamps to three strands of yarn. There is a different image on the back of the two larger stamps.
