Bees Tag

 

This is a tag that I made using two different stencils and stamped with bees (Stampin' Up!). I used Distress Oxide Inks and, for the bees, Versafine Onyx ink. I used fabric as the fiber to put through the hole at the top.

Someday

I began this A2-sized card by stamping the focal image (Stampington & Company) in Versafine Onyx on mixed media paper. Then, I stamped the squares and circles (Hero Arts) and the word Someday (Uptown Design Co.) using Distress Oxide inks. After that, I adhered the white panel to the magenta panel and then to the black panel using double-side tape. I adhered all of that to a white card base.

 I began this A2-sized card by stenciling the top layer using the following Distress Oxide inks: broken china, squeezed lemonade and picked raspberry. Then, I mounted it on a turquoise card stock, then on an orange card stock and finally on a white card base. Next, I die cut the sentiment and glued it to the top layer. Finally, I added a few turquoise sequins.

 I began this A2-sized card by stenciling the top layer. I stenciled one way using Distress Oxide ink in broken china, then I turned it around and stenciled the same design using twisted citron. Next, I cut it down and mounted it on turquoise card stock, mounted that on a green card stock and mounted that on a white card base. After that, I die cut the sentiment and glued it to the top layer. Finally, I finished it off with gluing a few turquoise sequins in the left hand corner.

Imagination

This tag measures approximately 3 1/8" by 6 1/4". I began by using a cosmetic brush and Distress Oxide ink in twisted citron. Then, I stamped the periodic table (Fusion Art Stamps) using Versafine Onyx ink, the Albert Einstein quote (River City Rubber Works) using Colorbox Chalk lipstick red and the partial circle (Spellbinders) using Distress Oxide broken china. Finally, I threaded in some yarn and ribbon into the hole at the top and knotted it.

Country View Challenges - January 2021 - Squares

Tag 5

This tag measures approximately 3 1/8" by 6 1/4". I began by using a cosmetic brush and the following Distress Oxide inks: picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade and twisted citron. Then, I stamped the gloves (?) and the number 5 (Postmodern Design) using Versafine Onyx ink. Next, I threaded some black fuzzy yarn into the hole at the top and knotted it.

 This tag measures approximately 3 1/8" by 6 1/4". I began by using a cosmetic brush and Distress Oxide ink in picked raspberry. Then, I stamped the Bingo Card (Fusion Art Stamps) using Versafine Onyx. After that, I glued the call number and the card markers to the tag. Finally, I added a stiff blue string through the hole at the top.

Country View Challenges - January 2021 - Squares 

Christmas Tree

This is an ATC (Artist Trading Card), and, as such, it measures 2 1/2" by 3 1/2". I started with a piece of cardboard. I stamped the tree (All Night Media) using Distress Oxide ink. Then, I decorated it using Smooch media. The bulbs are white, and the garland is gold. Next, I glued a tiny star button to the top. After that, I stamped the sentiment (unknown). Finally, I distressed the edges with my scissors.

Happy Holidays

I began this A2-sized card by cutting a piece of white card stock measuring just under 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" to allow the navy border to show. Then, I used Distress Oxide ink and a stencil making a gradation from dark blue to light. Next, I die cut two cardinals to put in the trees. Finally, I stamped the sentiment (Hampton Art) in the lower right hand corner using Colorbox Chalk in warm red.

Watch the Leaves Turn

First, I stamped the sentiment (Stampington & Co.) on a cream-colored card stock to match the A2-sized card base. Then, I used foam tape to adhere it to the card base leaving enough room to tuck the leaves into place beneath it. I swirled Distress Oxide inks onto a mixed media heavy paper and spritzed them with water. I used Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon and Dusty Concord. After they dried, I die cut the leaves and glued them in place partially under the sentiment panel.

You Are Amazing

I started this A2-sized card by blending the pinks on a separate panel of white card stock. From left to right, I used Distress Oxide inks in Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. I cut down the panel to 3 1/4" by 4" and adhered it to a white card base using double-sided tape. I stamped the sentiment (Hampton Art) with Worn Lipstick to match the darkest pink.

Pear Harvest Wreath: Happy Birthday

I started this A2-sized card by embossing the background. It is a brick wall folder. I ran black card stock through my Big Kick. Then, I adhered that panel to a white card base.

Then, I made the green wreath. I used a piece of multimedia paper and swirled on three different colors of Distress Oxide greens. I buffed the extra color off with a rag. I used a Stampin' Up! wreath die and ran it through my Big Kick. I adhered that to the black brick panel. I stamped the pears with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and cut those using a die. I glued those to the wreath.

Finally, I die cut a red bow. I stamped the sentiment (Stampin' Up!) on the scalloped circle. I glued both to the card.

Apple Season Wreath: Happy Birthday

I started this A2 card by making the background. I used a wood plank embossing folder and inked up the raised lines with a Distress Oxide ink pad in Brushed Corduroy. I placed a manila-colored card stock measuring 4" by 5 1/4" inside and ran it through my Big Kick. I adhered that to a manila-colored card base with double-sided tape.

Then, I made the green wreath. I used a piece of multimedia paper and swirled on three different colors of Distress Oxide greens. I buffed the extra color off with a rag. I used a Stampin' Up! wreath die and ran it through my Big Kick. I adhere that to the top of the wood plank panel with glue. I chose 6 red buttons to make the "apples" and glued them to the wreath.

After that, I stamped the sentiment (Stampin' Up!) using a Distress Oxide that matched the color of the bow. I attached the bow and the tag with glue.

Hello

This was a fairly easy card to make. The finished size measures 6" by 4 1/4". The colorful panel measures 6" by 2". The green strip measures less than 1/4" wide by 6" long. I stamped the sentiment (Stampin' Up!) using Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot and used my MISTI to make sure it was straight. Since the white card stock is textured, I had to stamp the sentiment several times to make sure it was filled it completely.

With a Grateful Heart

This is a fairly easy top-folding, A2-sized card. I started by cutting the yellow card stock 4 1/4" by 11" and, using my ScorPal, scored it at 5 1/2". Then, I positioned the leave dies and ran them through my Big Kick die-cutting machine and set it aside.

Using my Distress Oxide Inks and a white panel of card stock, I coated it with Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet. Then I sprayed it heavily with water and let it dry. The colors ran together.

I stamped the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous) on the yellow card stock with Wilted Violet. I used my MISTI to get the sentiment straight and make a solid impression. I glued the blue/purple panel behind the die-cut leaves.

Hello Friend

This is a fairly easy top-folding, A2-sized card. I started by cutting the blue card stock 4 1/4" by 11" and, using my ScorPal, scored it at 5 1/2". Then, I positioned the leave dies and ran them through my Big Kick die-cutting machine and set it aside.

Using my Distress Oxide Inks and a white panel of card stock, I coated it with 3 different yellow oranges. Then I sprayed it lightly with water and let it dry.

I stamped the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous) on a thin strip of yellow card stock with Versafine Onyx. I used my MISTI to get the sentiment straight and a solid impression. I glued this down to the blue card stock. I also glued the yellow panel behind the die-cut leaves.

Autumn Pear

This is a top-folding, A2-sized card. I started by cutting the pink card stock 4" by 5 1/4". Then, I inked up the solid pear (A Stamp in the Hand) with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and set it aside. Then, I inked a portion of a word background stamp (Stampin' Up!) with Frayed Burlap and laid it down inked side up on the table. I took the pear stamp and "kissed" it to the word stamp, which created an image on the pear. Then, I stamped the pear on the pink paper. After that, I adhered the pink panel to Soft Suede, the taupe-colored card base.
