Treadle Pushers Quilt Store |
There were a bunch of women working on tuffets and other projects. They were laughing and having fun — our kind of people! We looked around and found some fabric to purchase.
This is a tuffet. |
A nice bit of coordinating fabrics! |
As always, we ask if there are other quilt stores in the area. We were in luck! A new one was opening, so we got directions.
Outside of the quilt store, we noticed a sign:
Again, our kind of people! |
Laurel Burch Christmas fabrics. |
Katie and I like to collect fabric. Sometimes we even make stuff out of it! lol We use the master bedroom for our crafts and sewing/quilting. Our fabrics are in the closet, and it is stuffed. Fairly organized, but stuffed just the same.
From one quilt store to another; from fabric to more fabric ... and everything in between.
LOL I know all about fabric... I cut down on my collection but its hard to get rid of things you 'will use one day'. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've actually started using our fabric last night. I have a project and so does Katie. We also pulled out some fabric we deemed quite ugly, and we wondered how we got it in the first place. We're thinking that we inherited some from Katie's mom, because some of it is not something we'd choose. Thanks for stopping by, Zefi!
ReplyDeleteA "tuffet." Where have I heard that before? A nursery rhyme? Can't remember. I love fabric too, but I think I mainly collect it. Love that Laurel Burch fabric! Didn't know she made fabric though.
ReplyDeleteLittle Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet
ReplyDeleteeating her curds and whey
When down came a spider and sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
I needed help on that last line...Katie to the rescue!
We have a smallish walk-in closet full of fabric. We have actually been using some of it lately! Laurel Burch has died. She had an unusual disease that I can't remember right now. Any way, she had lots of fabric patterns that echoes her jewelry and other things. Through her estate, other patterns on fabric have been released...by the family, I think. Thank you for stopping by!
I love re-living this fun trip!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! We'll have to do it again sometime.
DeleteBTW: the fabric closet is ~5x5 feet, with an 8 foot ceiling. Mostly full...And we are going to put wheels on the big shelf so we can have more space underneath it! LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe really need to empty it by actually USING the fabric and not making room for more...but, I guess, that's the deal.
