This entry is a multimedia tag, which is a nice break from making cards.
I started with a Manila-colored tag. First, I stamped the snarky cat and the sentiment (Stampers Anonymous) in Versafine Onyx. I stamped snarky cat again on a Post-It so I could mask the cat. Next, I smeared on some Distress Oxide inks in Broken China and it's complimentary color of orange in the form of Ripe Persimmon and Abandoned Coral. After that, I peeled off the mask and, using Prismacolor pencils, I colored the cat Burnt Ocher. Then, I sprayed water lightly onto the tag which reacts with the Distress Oxide inks to create texture and change the color slightly. Finally, I found some ribbons to match the colors and threaded them through the hole in the tag.
I'm sharing this with:

ReplyDeleteSweet! The colors of the fluff are better in person :P
ReplyDeleteYou tag is wonderful. Lovely use of distress oxides, the scratch lines are a clever touch and the sentiment is a great choice for your snarky cat's antics.
